Fit Together 5210 Highlights: It’s all about BIKING
To promote widespread recreation and fitness for our children, adults and families in our community Fit Together has launched a Bike Rack Sponsorship program and is hosting a Family Bicycle Rally in September.
Twenty sponsored bike racks will be placed throughout Torrington and Winsted to help promote physical activity and provide safe and convenient places for people to park their bikes while they do errands, go to the park, stop at the library or go to school. The bike racks are intended to catch someone’s attention and gently encourage cycling in our communities, while being customized to highlight the person or business who has purchased the bike rack. The school locations include; Torrington Middle School, Torrington High School, the Gilbert School, Pearson School and the Northwestern Community College. You will also see racks along the Sue Grossman trail, at the Armory, Teen Center, Torrington Savings Bank, Resha beach, Winsted Community Health and Wellness, and Northwest YMCA Winsted and Torrington locations.
