Fit Together NWCT promotes the 5-2-1-0 model (originally developed by Let’s Go Maine). It focuses on increasing Healthy Eating and Active Living (HEAL) behaviors in children and adults through 4 research-backed, daily practices:
- 5 or More Fruits and Vegetables
- 2 Healthy Screen Time Habits
- 1 Hour or More of Physical Activity
- 0 Sugary Drinks
These guidelines are meant to give you a framework for making healthy choices every day. Please don’t get overwhelmed or discouraged. Every step towards your 5-2-1-0 goals counts!
