Fit Together in Action July News Fit Together’s Rock the Greenway Event Thanks to all who attended our first Fit Together event of 2021! Our “Rock The Sue Grossman Greenway Family Fitness Scavenger Hunt” brought together over 50 people (and a few furry friends) who came to search for hidden rocks while experiencing the great opportunities for fitness on the Greenway. Families who completed the full course walked over 4 miles and found 9 different clues! Fit Together in Action June News FREE EVENT- Rock the Greenway We are happy to announce our first in-person Fit Together fitness event of 2021. “Rock the Sue Grossman Greenway! A Family Fitness Scavenger Hunt” will have participants searching for special painted rocks hidden along the Sue Grossman Greenway and earning chances at raffle prizes for each of the rocks found and marked on a game card. Fit Together in Action May News Healthy For Life 5k  Litchfield Montessori School ( LMS), one of Fit Together’s newest partners held their first annual 5k run/walk this past Sunday with 130 participants.   Students, families, friends and the community tied up their laces and hit the beautiful course which started on North Shore Road, wound through the shady woods of Litchfield’s White Memorial Conservation center and finished using the new Litchfield Community greenway. Fit Together in Action March News Torrington Middle School Awarded Fit Together Mini Grant- Snowshoeing Fun! This winter Fit-Together awarded the Torrington Middle School P.E. program a mini grant to help purchase 50 pairs of snowshoes. They teamed up with Can’d Aid an organization focused on “Do Gooders.”  As part of their Treads and Trail program, bikes and helmets were donated to sixty first graders.  Can’d Aid believes in helping and supporting towns to make good things happen.
