Fit Together in Action June News
Partner Highlights: Spring Fling at Warren Elementary!
I recently checked in with Michele Ferrer, Fit Together champion and School Nurse at Warren Elementary School. To celebrate the end of the school year, Warren School held a “Spring Fling” event, which included fitness education and interactive craft projects. The students enjoyed learning karate and yoga, then rotated through creative projects such as rock painting, creating walking sticks, making bird houses, making seed balls to plant, macramé, paper necklaces and tie dying. Michelle said the students had an awesome time exercising their bodies and minds!

Worksite Wellness- June National Professional Wellness Month
June is Professional (Employee) Wellness Month. Most adults spend a significant portion of their workplace. Therefore, it is important that there is a healthy connection between work and an individual’s overall well-being. There is enough research to show that the personal well-being of an individual, which comprises a good exercise routine, healthy diet, sleep patterns, etc., makes them highly productive and valuable to an organization.
